How to obtain Permanent Residency in Dominica?
Requirements for Permanent Residency in Dominica:
1. Renewed temporary residency permit for 1 year, every year, for 5 consecutive years, or a valid work permit for 5 years.
2. Valid passport with at least SIX MONTHS validity prior to expiration.
3. Apply for an extension of stay at the Immigration Department if you are a visitor before applying for a residence permit.
4. The extension of stay should be recorded in your passport, or your status changes to Work or Residence Permit.
5. If you are a visitor without a valid extension of stay, you are considered ILLEGAL until your status is regularized.
6. Obtain the DOMINICA RESIDENCE APPLICATION PACKAGE, which includes two application forms and a checklist.
7. Complete the RESIDENCE APPLICATION FORM, ensuring all questions are answered and the Extension of Stay on the passport is entered.
8. Undergo a Medical Exam by a local Medical Doctor, including HIV and chest x-rays tests, and record the results on the MEDICAL FORM.
9. Submit all required documents together with the application; failure to do so may lead to the rejection of the application.
